Syracuse students agree: Welcome to the 2011-2012 season.
Syracuse opens the 2011 season in a pretty unremarkable way. They play Fordham, a team that had an absolutely dreadful 2010-2011 season, going 7–21 (1–15) in the Atlantic 10 Conference. This should be an easy win for Syracuse. The biggest question is who is starting, and who will get playing time off the bench. The projected starting lineup is Jardine and Triche at guards, Kris Joseph and Rakeem Christmas at small and power forward, and Fab Melo at center. But how much Dion Waiters will we see? What rotation will be established? Several of these questions can be answered by buying a 2011 Orange Tip Off, conveniently available for purchase here. There's the one plug. On top of that, We'll see freshman Michael Carter-Williams, along with Waiters, CJ Fair, and Baye Moussa Keita. This will be like the two exhibitions. There will be a lot of shots taken, rebounds pulled down, and big dunks. Fordham was not good last year. The will not be good this year. Especially in the first game. Syracuse is your winner by 23.
This game will be broadcast on TWCS and SNY at 4:00pm. Good luck to the Carrier Dome crew in putting the court down in time after starting around midnight. But they will. It's what they do. This should be a fun one to start the season, something we've all been looking forward to.
