Welcome to a new season of college basketball at Syracuse University. Syracuse enters the year ranked #25 by the coaches, and has a young but entertaining squad. Freshman Brandon Triche and veteran Andy Rautins will handle the ball, and transfer Wesley Johnson is a solid player who will do good things for the Orange this season. Meanwhile, another freshman in James Southerland has been outstanding in the previous exhibition games, and will look to be the other shooting threat besides Rautins. If Scoop Jardine can distribute the ball well when he is in the game, Syracuse will also do well. Of course Arinze Onuaku and Rick Jackson should dominate on the glass and inside the paint as well. Syracuse, despite some troublesome events that happened last week, should handle Albany and their band of no name state schoolers. Syracuse over Albany by 34. Jim Boeheim should get win #800.
