Like the dead leaves under her feet, this season is slowly crumbling away.
Drubbing. That is the best word to describe what just happened to the Syracuse Orangemen at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, as the Panthers win 37-10. Props to Brian for calling 37-13 in his game preview. This was an expected loss, obviously, but you still never like to see your team lose. Especially when they don't even score a touchdown until garbage time in the 4th quarter. Stay tuned to Orange::44 for all your usual post-game coverage, including my Monday Morning Quarterback article, and Brian's Report Card. Also stay tuned for basketball coverage leading into Monday night's season opener against Albany.

"Drubbing" is a good word for it. That was the first real bad G-Rob-era type blowout we've had this year, although the W.Va. game was basically over at halftime and then they took their foot off the gas. Hate to say this, but it feels like Akron is going to end up being where our season peaked - almost at .500, still hope for becoming bowl eligible. But yesterday was our lowest point so far and I don't see things getting much better over the last three games with Mike Williams gone.
