Syracuse - Providence Preview

Syracuse students agree: Players being injured are not helpful to the team.
Providence is one of those teams that is a mystery. They win some marginal games, but they couldn’t put away Marquette at home. They have lost the big games, but won the games they were supposed to in the conference. This team does have some talent, but they just can’t seem to get over the hump to beat an elite team in the Big East. Their playmaker is Weyinmi Efejuku, who is averaging 13.4ppg and 4.0rpg. He also shoots 36.7% from long range. But this team has lost to some inferior teams like Northeastern and St. Mary’s. They also recently had to take Seton Hall into overtime. Providence has no answer for Onuaku inside, and if he plays he will surely give Providence fits. Devendorf also should be ready to go and if he is shooting well Syracuse should cruise. Andy Rautins did not make the trip with his sore ankle, so that will be a blow for this team. While this game will be close, unless Providence comes out red hot, this should be a W for Syracuse. Orange by 12.
Look for the new Big East Report later today.

    I wouldn't call St. Mary's inferior. Definitely a fringe Top-25 team.

SMC, in fact, is probably better than PC and proved it.

    Well it doesn't matter now.
