Dropped Out: Oregon (#15), Wisconsin (#17), Fresno State (#19).
* Goodbye Oregon, Wisconsin, and Fresno State. You lost, so you’re out. While other teams lost and still remain on the poll, I just think they are better teams than those three.
* New to the poll is UNC (after another nice win), Michigan State (after another solid performance), and Pittsburgh (after beating a ranked USF).
* I was so correct about UConn it is not even funny. As I predicted to Nunes, UNC beat them, and so I would take them out if I included them, but I didn't. Suck it Connecticut.
*Vandy springs up after playing a great football game. Good for them. Seriously!
* USF you let me down. You drop ten spots, but stay modestly placed at #21. Similarly, Auburn drops six spots.
* Missou springs up a spot to take the four spot. Unlike last week when I definitely thought that Oklahoma, LSU, and ‘Bama were in those three spots in that order, I think a good argument can be made for Alabama being #2. However, I left it alone this week because there was not enough evidence to reverse the call.
*Penn State jumps another two spots after another fairly impressive victory.

It is nice to see the Tar Heels back in the polls, it has been a long while since the last time (`01).

They have definitely earned it.
Well, for this old Heel, who suffered through the many years, it was such a nice feeling! Now, with Notre Dame on the horizon, it should be interesting.

Texas Tech at #8? Justify your existence!
Mike Leach really, really like pirates.
Justified!
Please address all future inquiries to Matt Glaude c/o Hoya Suxa.
... and boom goes the dynamite.
Plus, I'm intentionally keeping USC out of the Top 8, because if they get ranked too high and play for the National Championship after having lost once, and will not play another ranked team all year basically, it will be a travesty.
Best of luck this weekend, other than the scoreboard, ya know.
