St. Francis (NY) - Syracuse Preview

Syracuse students agree: We want real games to start.
Syracuse, while not looking terribly impressive in any of the games they have played so far, is still undefeated. That will most likely continue against St. Francis (NY), a team Syracuse last beat handily in 2009. Syracuse will again have to contend with a team that is undersized and will most likely send Syracuse to the foul line many times in this game. Syracuse actually hasn't been that bad as a team with free throws the last couple of years overall, but of course that won't stop the folks out there from pulling a Gottlieb and just saying the old adage that Syracuse can't make free throws. That being said, the team was dreadful at them in the last game against Colgate, only making 12-28. This is not a problem for Syracuse now, but it could be down the line later. As these things often are. That all being said, St. Francis is not a team that shoots the long ball very well as a team. So far they are collectively shooting 29.1% from behind the arc. That isn't good. Not sure we'll be in a Cornell, or even a Colgate situation. This game should be won by a little more comfortable of a margin. Look for Syracuse to dominate from tip to horn. Syracuse over St. Francis (NY) by 32. This game is available at 7:30pm nationwide on Watch ESPN only.
