Providence - Syracuse Preview

Syracuse students agree: We're pissed at the coaches.
Syracuse went to DePaul and played a game they were lucky to escape from with a win. Syracuse will not let this happen two games in a row. Providence comes to the Dome fresh off a defeat to Cincinnati on the road. The Friars have a trio of good players with F Jamine Peterson (18ppg, 10rpg), G Sharaud Curry (15.5ppg, 3.7apg), and G-F Marshon Brooks (14.8ppg, 4.5rpg). They can do some damage on the scoreboard. This is a team that likes to run like Syracuse so this will be a fast game. However, Providence's game will fall right into the hands of the Syracuse zone defense. They should hit several of their long shots and then begin to miss, allowing Syracuse to run away with this one by hammering the post. Look for Andy Rautins to rebound as well by hitting several big shots in this game again and again. This one should be close in the first half, but probably not in the second. Look for #3/4 Syracuse to win this one over Providence by 18.
