Syracuse just lost a devastating game to Georgetown in DC. Now Syracuse is back in the Carrier Dome to try and enact revenge against Notre Dame, who scorched their own nets in a ridiculous shooting performance from Kyle McAlarney. Syracuse enters this game still as the #8 team in the nation, while Notre Dame is currently #12/13. With an overall record of 12-4 and 3-2 in conference, this team on paper may not seem as good as Syracuse, but this is a team that is very dangerous. They have the inside presence of the best scorer in the league, Luke Harangody. He averages 24.8ppg and 12.7rpg. He can go inside or hit a 15 foot jumper no problem. And Kyle McAlarney is Notre Dame’s delinquent shooter. He averages 16.6ppg and is shooting 47.9% from behind the arc. This is a dangerous and daunting team that bent Syracuse over last year and showed them where the wild goose goes. But this is in the Carrier Dome, the crowd will be immense, and Arinze Onuaku has traditionally matched up will with Harangody. Look for Syracuse to find their own shooting spurt and watch Andy Rautins go toe to toe with McAlarney in who can burn down the place. Syracuse should have the edge in this one, simply because of the crowd. If they rebound well and do not allow easy shots from McAlarney due to their improved man-to-man defense this season, Syracuse should see a big home court victory. I'll be out of the home office and at this game so they better not stink. Syracuse over Notre Dame by nine.

Non-Syracuse students agree: Harangody is indeed one big, ugly dude
Cue the happy child?
KW, yes he is an ugly dude.
Anonymous, if I did that for basketball I certainly would have.
