Not as fun if you have to talk about a loss.
Syracuse opened their 2013 lacrosse campaign with a loss for the first time in 17 years. I invited my friend Matthew McClusky (@MatthewMcClusky), writer for Nunes/Magician to join me to break it all down, give some perspective on the game, and what the bright spots were in this entertaining game. To stream the episode or to download it, just click here.

It's baaaaaaaack...
While the Big East Basketball conference slate is still going strong, the Syracuse Lacrosse team takes the field for the first time in 2013 on Sunday. Therefore it's the return of my weekly Syracuse Lacrosse show Orange::22 on the Lacrosse Radio Network. It will be every Tuesday evening at 9:00pm. Last night we recorded our opening show for the season and Matt Glaude (@HoyaSuxa) and Ryan McDonnell (@RyanMcD29), both of College Crosse, joined me to preview the team unit by unit, talk about the Albany game, and NCAA lacrosse rules changes and notable games. Along the way there was a fire drill, several emergency vehicles, and lots of lax talk. If you like Syracuse Lacrosse, you'll enjoy this. You can stream the episode or download it here. Tune in next week for even more lax goodness.

Yeah, those people gave me a show.
The fine folks at the Lacrosse Radio Network gave me a show on Syracuse Lacrosse. What they may or may not have known was that once Syracuse's season ended, we would keep going. So I called on my good friend Matt Glaude, the head man over at College Crosse now, to break down the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament. I'm particularly proud of how the last few episodes have come out. Sadly the season is now over and we enter the vacuum of college sports until August. But that doesn't mean you can't catch on on what the heck happened in the NCAA Tournament, particularly the final weekend while you were enjoying grilled meats and various brewed beverages. Or even relive the magic if you missed it. The last episode of the season is here, while you can find all the past episodes by searching on the main page here. You can stream them, or download them to your personal technology box as well. Orange::22 will return next lacrosse season either late January or early February as we enter that magical period where Syracuse Basketball is down the stretch, and Syracuse Lacrosse is just firing up. Thanks to everyone that has listened this season (apparently a decent number of you), and we look forward to being even better next year.

Welcome back to May Madness.
It's that time of year again. The bracket is set and Syracuse is in the field, benefiting from the automatic bid granted to the winner of the Big East Tournament. Above you can see my bracket. I've made it official by entering College Crosse's Tournament Challenge. You can do the same here. Call it a homer pick if you like, but if the Syracuse team that played in the Big East Tournament shows up to Durham, that team is going to be dangerous. Either way, I feel good about my bracket until it crumbles in a few short days.
In other news, if you missed my last episode of Orange::22 with Matthew McClusky you can check it out here. It's just under an hour and probably our best episode so far. That is until tonight. My colleague John Brennan from this notebook right here will be joining me on Orange::22 tonight at 9 to talk Syracuse, the bracket, and Syracuse in the Bracket. It should be great as you've come to expect from us. You can find that episode here. Syracuse plays on Saturday at 12:00pm on ESPN against Duke, the first game of the Tournament, so get your knowledge on. I'll be rolling out articles on the Tournament, along with the other folks at College Crosse. Stay tuned to that for all your lacrosse needs. And listen in tonight at 9:00pm.
UPDATE: You can download or stream the newest episode with John Brennan and I now here.
UPDATE #2: John Brennan's Bracket, as described in the episode, is now listed below.

Episode 2. It comes after Episode 1.
Despite my best efforts, we have a shorter show this week. Sean Keeley from Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician joined me and it was fun broadcasting with a frequent collaborator. Due to technical difficulty the front of the show got chopped off and this was our rebooted effort. You only missed a little luckily. We discuss the last multiple game week for the Orange as they played Rutgers and Hobart away from the Dome. We also talk about the new RPI numbers, some Big East Bracketology, and some NCAA Tournament talk. Always great chatting with Sean and you'll like it too if you are a Syracuse fan. You can listen to or download this episode here.

Time to get back to lacrosse with style.
The appropriate mourning period for basketball is now over. We jump back into lacrosse full force from now until Memorial Day. And to get going, we skip the write ups until next week and go right to the audio format.
Starting tonight, we debut Orange::44, the official Syracuse Lacrosse radio program on the Lacrosse Radio Network. We start tonight and broadcast every Wednesday at 9:00pm EST until the end of the season. We'll have an interesting guest every week as well. To start it off right, we have Matt Glaude, formerly of Hoya Suxa, and now the man at the helm of College Crosse. Even if you manage to learn nothing tonight you should at least be entertained. But I imagine you'll find the show interesting if you are a SU lax fan in the least anyway. It is live tonight at 9:00pm EST and you can listen on your computing devices here. Or feel free to listen and download after it's done.

A great run.
Today, Matt McClusky hosts his final radio program for WNER1410. I just wanted to say a few words of thanks as well. It's been a long road for Matt and he's been great at putting together a great show for his listeners, as well as Syracuse fans. Not only that, but he did what all good radio hosts do. He connected to his local audience by covering various games locally, and making sure that national teams got equal time with the high schoolers there. And he covered them and Syracuse well. He also gave all us bloggers a chance to be heard. Let's face it, bloggers are more informed and have their finger on the pulse of their teams than most. On top of that, he let me on the radio to talk about lacrosse of all things. And on the regular. No greater than almost immediately after the 2009 Lacrosse Championship from Foxboro. And we've talked about football and basketball too, including his big football preview every year for the Orange.
And now he's heading on to bigger (allegedly better) things. But before he goes I wanted to say thanks for having me on all those times. It was always fun and enjoyable and nothing but nice and easy to work with. Since he's leaving the radio waves we might have to have him on a podcast or two in the future. And of course if he ever makes it down to Syracuse when we're there the first round is on me. Best wishes to Matt and his family in the future. I'm sure he'll be wildly successful in the next chapter of his life.

It's that time again. Grab a bracket!
Welcome back to March Madness, and the Orange::44 Podcast. We return for Episode 4 to discuss Syracuse and the bracket overall. What are the sexy first round games? Who in the Big East will advance? Do we still like lacrosse? All of these questions are answered as John and I discuss everything having to do with March Madness. We also take a detour and talk about the Big East Tournament, as well as finishing up talking about Syracuse lacrosse. It's an hour of solid Syracuse and bracket talk that will get you ready for tip time and maybe help you fill out a bracket. Speaking of brackets, join the official O::44 Bracket Challenge at ESPN. Click here and use the password "orange44". All Syracuse and Big East fans and friends are welcome. You can listen to the episode below or download this or any previous episode here. My bracket is above and John's is below.

Basketball is rough. We needed to talk it out.
With all the stuff going on with the basketball team, as well as the impending start of the lacrosse season for Syracuse, Sean of Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician and I got together via cellular telephonic devises and recorded the latest Nunes/Magician Podcast. This time on Episode 11 we talk about what exactly is going on with the Syracuse Basketball, analyze wha happened with The Hall, we almost pretend to pick what will happen the rest of the schedule, talk about if Jim Boeheim knows what he's doing, and much, much more. It's about 38 minutes of solid conversation that you could easily have yourself in a bar. But we're experts. Listen to the stream below or download this or other past episodes here. Of course it is also available on iTunes as well.

We're bowling. Get the info.
Syracuse has accepted their Pinstripe Bowl bid. But that's not all that's happened lately. Orange::44 Correspondent John Brennan and I spend 55 minutes talking about much more. We start out talking about the end of the football season. But then we venture into Syracuse's and the Big East's bowl picture. We then talk about the hot topic of TCU joining the Big East, and we finish off with some basketball talk with where the team is, and what will happen in the upcoming games the team will play. It's what you've come to expect from our podcasts. Listen below, or download this or any previous podcast here.

Sorry it's been a while.
You've got an iPod and need it to be filled with smart people talking about sports right? Even if you don't and you're reading this website you like Syracuse enough to want to hear the latest episode of Troy Nunes is an Absolute Podcast. It happens to be the 10th episode and it is pretty good for being one of the shortest we've done. Sean from Nunes/Magician and I talk about the Louisville debacle, bowl games, the impending LeMoyne basketball exhibition, and yes even some lacrosse talk. We get into the extremely hot topic of Big East expansion as well. It's the same standard of quality you've come to expect from both of us by now. You can download the latest episode, or any past episodes, here. Or you can listen below.

Axe is out of the heat and back in the studio.
It’s the week before the first football game, which means everyone is doing mega previews. This blog is no exception. But that also means that the guys in the big time are as well. Our good friend Brent Axe is having me on his program at the top of the 4:00pm hour. Tune in on your radio dial at 1260AM in CNY, or you can always listen online at TheScore1260.com. You can catch out the show on TWCS as well on channel 813 or 43, or if you are outside of the TWCS viewing area, watch online at TWCS.tv. Of if you miss all that, just tune into the podcast later. I’ll post the link below after the show.

Podcasting is back.
With training camp started for the Syracuse Orange football squad this week Sean from Nunes/Magician, Matt "The Glaude" from Hoya Suxa, and I chat about football and along the way we learn some life lessons. Episode 8 of Troy Nunes is an Absolute Podcast is now up. It's like 39 minutes of concentrated brilliance and was a lot of fun to do. Like this is pretty much the exact reason why I do these podcasts. Anyway, head on over to Nunes/Magician here to check it out. You can also download this or any previous episodes here.

We're back to close out the year.
Memorial Day was this past Monday, which means Summer is now here. The NCAA Lacrosse Champion for 2010 was crowned (I guess congratulations to Duke), and now we begin three months of no college sports. But we're not heading off on vacation before closing out the year with the latest episode of The Orange::44 Podcast. In this episode Orange::44 Correspondent John Brennan and I discuss the latest in the Delone Carter criminal case, we wrap up the lacrosse season, discuss the heartbreaking Army game, the NCAA Lax Tourney, have a debate on if there should be a shot clock in the game, and waaaay too early predictions for both football and basketball. You can stream the episode below, or click here to download the episode or the first episode.
Additionally I was on Matt Mc's Sports Fix on Tuesday to wrap up the NCAA Tournament and the Duke/ND Championship game. You can click here to download the show or hear it. I'm on at 1:12:30 if you want to jump ahead.
Also I visited our North Carolina friend AEM's Podcast to discuss the lacrosse tournament also. You can click here to visit the episode's page. I'm at minute 36:30.
Thanks for reading this past season. There were a lot of highs and lows. Have a great summer. If you still want some fix, you can always catch John (@JBren) and myself (@BH_Orange44) on Twitter. We'll talk to you soon.

We're back in the podcasting business. Business is good.
We here at Orange::44 haven't turned out a new podcast since before last summer. That was just too long. That's why Correspondent John Brennan and I decided to relaunch our Orange::44 podcasts with a brand new podcast in this new series. We start off this podcast with some great topics including we the Orange::44 Law Dogs discussing the entire Delone Carter case as it stands now. Then we move into the hot topic of the month, which is of course conference expansion (along with a huge longshot solution). Then we end with some SU Lacrosse and NCAA Tourney Talk. It is just over an hour of great Syracuse knowledge from your friend at Orange::44. You can download the episode by clicking here, or you can listen via the stream below. Enjoy. Hopefully we'll have more of these from you in the future. Oh and don't worry Sean, I'll still join you on your podcasts still too.

Had to talk about that game with Axe.
After that ridiculous ending to the Syracuse/Cornell game Brent Axe of "On The Block" fame had me on his show to discuss the game. We also talked about some SU football, Wes going pro, and our glorious five year anniversary. Next time we'll have dancing I promise. Either way, if you missed it, you can listen to the clip or download the podcast here. Check it out because it is quality as always.

After a small hiatus, we're back.
We've taken a few weeks off, but the Big City Classic, along with the news of Wes Johnson turning pro gave us the great opportunity to have our seventh episode. Sean from Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician and I talk about those things, along with The Glaude's lack of pants, the New Meadowlands Stadium, attractive Syracuse quarterbacks (no homo), the state of NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse, and other awesome topics. Give it a listen below. Or download the episode here, or any of the past episodes. You can also do so anytime by checking out the bottom of of the sidebar. Enjoy!

Need some Georgetown Audio Hate? Done.
It was time for Sean from Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician and I to record yet another podcast. But we needed something extra special because today Syracuse takes on Georgetown in Washington. Therefore we invited Matt Glaude from Hoya Suxa, the definitive hater of all things Hoya and the founder of this exact notebook, to join us. We talk about such things as crazy internet videos starring Matt, exactly how crafty Fred Hill is, how terrible of a place Storrs, CT is, who will win the game tonight, and even some Olympic Curling talk! It's almost 40 minutes of audio gold well worth your time and perfect to prime you for the game or indiscriminate hate of Georgetown. Something we can all get behind. You can download this show, or any of our past podcasts here, on iTunes, or just listen below. Enjoy and thanks to Matt and Sean as always!

We're back and with guests!
The most recent edition of your favorite Syracuse related podcast has a new episode. Sean of Nunes/Magician and I are back to preview the impending Providence game, as well as chat about the general state of Big East basketball. To help us out we invited Dave from Friar Blog to chat with us and drop some inside knowledge on his team. It's 45 minutes worth of quality information to get you geared up for today's game, as well as some good info if you enjoy Big East basketball. Check it out by downloading it here, along with any past episodes, or listen below. Enjoy!
