Syracuse - South Florida Preview

Syracuse students agree: We should not lose to the Bulls again.
Syracuse, returning to the hardwood for the first time in 2009, takes on a struggling South Florida squad. Having already lost to such powerhouses as Oral Roberts, Wright State, and Niagara, they have compiled a record of 5-7. This is their first Big East game of the season. South Florida is lead by a nice pair of guards. Dominique Jones is averaging 17.1ppg, 4.2rpg, and4.3apg, while Jesus Verdejo is averaging 16.3ppg, 2.6rpg, and 1.3apg. However, this team has no real threat at the forward or center positions so far this season. It should be an easy game for Onuaku and Jackson to get points in the paint. Not to mention that the shooters have been in the zone lately and hopefully it will continue as a poor shooting night last season doomed the Orange to a loss at USF. However, with multiple personnel that can shoot the long ball, unlike last year, this USF squad should go down just like Seton Hall did. Syracuse is averaging about 21 points over the Bulls anyway. Syracuse over South Florida by 22.
