Lacrosse Monday . . . Sort Of

Monday evenings are usually reserved for short treatises on the week that was Syracuse lacrosse. However, as the Orange did not play this weekend and rather will tussle with upstate-compatriot Hobart tomorrow night, I'm going to save my commentary until later this week.

Instead, enjoy the first, and probably last, installment of "Syracuse Lacrosse Classics." Tonight's edition features, from what I can surmise, Mike Powell finishing against Georgetown's keeper off a beautiful feed from the mustachioed Kevin Dougherty. It's video proof that at one point in time, the Orange actually had a fundamental understanding of passing and catching.

You know what, the more I watch that video, the more I think that the number 7 that feeds 22 is Brian Crockett and not Kevin Dougherty.

I guess more research is necessary.

Duke! I read that story a few days ago, but cot damn! Well, looks like UVA's #1 ranking is safe for a while. Plus, it's a bigger story than three of our guys getting booted off the football team for smokin' that la-la-la.

    This team sucks, Matthew!

Good to see at least one institution in Virginia has the guts to boot some shady football studs.
